Hi everyone—

Spring is close and the weather is improving so people are beginning to think about their future after a long winter’s hibernation. Many of us, however, are tired of poor returns from our bank savings accounts, pension plans, insurance policies, t-bills, GICs, RRSPs, LIRAs, TFSAs, IRAs, 401(k)s, bonds and mutual funds as well as stock portfolios.

Why do so many of the wealthiest families around the world have all or substantially all of their wealth invested in real estate? It’s because they’ve found real estate investing is virtually the only strategy that works. I recommend to most people a simple strategy that’ll generate around $70k to $80k a year in independent income via real estate-

a) own your own home
b) buy some residential rentals
c) buy some small commercial like an industrial condo
d) buy some land or a lot.

I also suggest learning how to add differentiated value to your portfolio so you can raise your cap (capitalization) rates; ie, your rate of return.
