As the year draws to a close, we wanted to thank everyone for making 2017 such a memorable year.
Think how fortunate we are to live in Ottawa-Gatineau (all 1.45 million of us)—a place where we can live together in peace, a place where everyone is accepted no matter what their background is, and finally a place where there is ample opportunity for each individual to achieve their goals.
There are 750,000 full-time jobs in Ottawa-Gatineau; three quarters of a million. Think about that!
If you have noticed that Ottawa-Gatineau traffic is way up, you’re not wrong, it is. But here’s the thing—next time you are stuck in traffic, don’t get mad, be glad because what you are seeing is economic opportunity everywhere you look ?
We expect 2018 to be another steady year of growth and change—the new Ottawa LRT will open at some point, and this is a gamechanger. No city can take its place amongst the great places to live on this planet without a bigtime people mover and that is coming to a neighborhood near you in 2018 (with more phases to come in the period to 2022).
