Sure you do. We all want more clients.
Want a better job?
How about better marks at school?
So how to do that?
Well, this anecdote isn’t for everyone but here’s what one guy I know does–
A friend of mine (he’s like a new age shaman or something) runs a mini storage business (how pedestrian but true).
When he is short of clients, he goes into his office and draws more lines on his client register (yes, he uses a simple pen and paper to keep track of his customers/write down their names, contact info, etc).
If he draws, say, ten more lines, guess what?
Ten more clients show up needing to park their RVs/semitrailers/loaders… or rent a mini storage locker or U-haul trailer from him.
He visualizes them showing up like that, and, in the next few days, they do. It’s hilarious.
You send out a message to the universe, and somehow it ricochets back to you (if you deserve it).
Now this maybe sounds like crap
to most folks
but there is no doubt to my mind that if you think you can’t, you won’t, and if you think you can, you will.
That’s just the way the world works… in sports, in school, in your JOB, in your business, and in your life.
See if you can change your internal dialogue so it is talking positively both to you and the cosmos.
I ask my clients to write down a simple equation on a 8.5×11 piece of paper:
N = ?
where N is sales, number of clients, the mark you want on your next math exam, whatever.
Then put it up next to your bed/desk/bathroom mirror, somewhere you’re going to see it at least twice a day.
I also ask them hand-write underneath a date–when they to achieve this goal by.
Then I invite them to hold it up so I can take a picture of them (I call it their mug shot), which I send to them. They print that out too, and post it somewhere to reinforce their commitment to themselves and their coach (that’d be me).
It’s corny but it works.
So try a vision board or goal board for yourself…
