Met a construction guy from Pontiac Quebec yesterday. He told me he never has to pump out his septic tank despite the fact he has a wife and three kids living with him on his farm.
His secret?
He feeds his septic system sugar and yeast (and the occasional crumbled up piece of bread) that boosts biodigestion and promotes fermentation.
The former turns all solids into liquids so that the only thing present in his septic tank and dispersion field is grey water.
The latter ensures that his system produces enough heat during winter so it won’t ever freeze.
