What stock market meltdown?
Doom and gloom due to the 2016 stock market meltdown hasn’t hit one important group: consumers, according to Coca-Cola CEO Muhtar Kent, https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-01-21/coca-cola-says-financial-contagion-hasn-t-spread-to-consumers.
I think this is because of one main factor: most consumers have lost confidence in stock market investments of all types, and so are no longer relying on those for any type of income supplement, retirement support or wealth accumulation.
When I hear on CNN or any other news channel, “Stay tuned, we’ll be right back after a short (!) break to catch up all of today’s business news,” I know it’s time to switch to Tiny House Nation, Love It or List It, If Walls Could Talk, Holmes on Homes, While You Were Out or some other real estate reality TV show because you will learn a heck of a lot more about business and entrepreneurship and investing from those rather than watching a talking head give you an update on all the scores, err excuse me, all the stock market indices.
Stock markets, my dad once told me, are giant casinos rigged to benefit insiders not you and me brothers and sisters.
