Are there any differences between a realtor who sells residential real estate and one who sells commercial property? Yes, there are.

In this short video, Remax Cornwall Realty broker Stephen Kyte explains that not only are residential and commercial realtors very different, agents who advise their clients on buying/selling and improving investment property have their own unique set of skills.

I think Stephen’s logo and tagline (shown above) say it best:

MAKING RETIREMENT PO$$IBLE
one door at a time

I think there is another skill that investment realtors can bring to clients too–I call this person a “development realtor”–someone who can help their clients buy land/lots, navigate tough municipal and provincial/state regulations, and develop them or buy existing property, add to them,

re-develop them, and animate them, by showing clients how to differentiate properties, improve their functional programs, analyze them properly and raise cap rates (ROI).
