Ottawa Predictions for 2017

A couple of predictions for 2017:

1. Ottawa’s
economy looks poised for more growth in 2017 with payrolls in Ottawa-Gatineau
at a record high: an amazing 723,000 people currently have jobs in the national capital
region… https://www.obj.ca/Local/2016-12-02/article-4697447/Swelling-federal-payroll-in-Ottawa-Gatineau-pushes-employment-to-record-high/1

2. With 8,000 DND employees relocating to the old Nortel
campus in the west end of Ottawa, a new Ottawa Hospital site finally (it
appears) decided on at the east end of the Experimental Farm (https://www.obj.ca/Local/2016-12-02/article-4697477/Hospital%2C-politicians-pick-Carling-Building-site-for-new-Civic-campus-in-Ottawa/1),
with Zibi and (hopefully) the Ottawa Senators reigniting the Domtar lands and LeBreton
Flats downtown, with the opening (finally) of LRT in Ottawa and all the hoopla involved with
Canada 150 (including possibly a NHL outdoor game plus the Grey Cup), there’s never been
a better time in my opinion to start your own business or build your real estate
portfolio!
