I
just wanted to say how impressed I was with the Invest Ottawa announcement
yesterday re. a new Innovation Centre to be built at the Bayview Yards. To get
a unanimous vote at City Council and seed money on this scale ($15 million)
from the Province are huge. I admire your vision and your willingness to think
BIG.

Imagine
in a few short years this City has gone from—

Tax
hikes out of control
No progress on Lansdowne for more than 20 years
A light rail project cancelled at great cost to the City plus 100s of millions
of dollars of knock-on private sector development lost
A City Council in discord
Endless planning approvals

To—

Light
rail coming
Bayview Yards remediation
Lansdowne renovation underway
Unanimous Council approval of Innovation Centre
Tax hikes under control
