Ontario Expropriates Without Compensation

When Ontario gave all rights for signage within 400 meters of 400-series highways in the province to TODS, Tourism Oriented Destination Signage, an American-based company, they effectively expropriated landowner rights without compensation.

Every farmer in Ontario used to make a few extra bucks leasing their land for signs. Now they have to be gigantic (and expensive) to be seen.

There’s a class action lawsuit here somewhere on behalf of all landowners

adjacent to 400-series roads against a self-serving Ontario government.
