A Poem by Rachel Firestone
When I was just a wee little lass,
Me mom said be aware what you put in your glass.
For less is always more.
When the drink does touch your curious lips,
Temptation is always disguised as bliss.
For less is always more.
But oy, I know more than you do!
So I did drink until mid noon.
For less is always more?
And when I awoke,
My head such a mess,
My mother’s word rang true
For I must admit,
As I say in a fit,
Less is always more.
(Ed note: “Less is more” is true in many ways– about drink, of course, but also love, life and business too. )
