Late Frost Doesn’t Kill Farm Gate Marketing

Even though it was a late spring in 2015, which also came with a very late frost of minus 7 degrees Celsius killing most budding apples in the Ottawa area, mild October weather brought out huge crowds, and saved the season for many farmers by boosting year-end sales.

Direct-to-consumer selling plus the grow local movement is reanimating the agricultural community across North America, and making farmland and farms more valuable.
