Iceland
is a fantastic place. It was lovely to discover a land whose climate is
extremely different than what I’m used to. If you want wind, there’s plenty of
it… sometimes too much.

The
weather is at a constant 10 degrees (Celsius) year-round, and it rains every
other hour. I saw a quote that said, “If you don’t like the weather, wait five
minutes”. Extremely unpredictable. And it’s really depressing that storefronts
in Reykjavik have winter clothes on their mannequins. It’s June!

The
terrain changes as fast as the weather. One minute you’re on Mars, and the next
it’s green flat fields, and the next it’s an endless desert of black sand. The
whole country is surreal.

I like to describe the place as car
commercial land. Any time you take a picture of a car, it looks
like it should be in a magazine! Here are some more pics I took of our rental
vehicle:

Go
to Iceland! Despite the rain, it’s beautiful.
