Attempt to Animate Shopping Plaza

Here’s a photo of a suburban shopping plaza where an attempt has been made to animate it.

Storefronts are differentiated, which is nice, and they’ve added a false front second floor to pretend they have apartments and people living above and on-site.

What’s Behind Those 2nd Floor Windows?

The long axis of the plaza is at right angles to the street so the building does not present well to passing traffic nor does it create/encompass/contain the public room.

So overall barely a passing grade, but an attempt to create an animated urban space nevertheless.
