How do you animate rural property or farm?

Well, how about buying a “Zamboni” and creating skating trails through the forest. Then charging for it?

Here’s Nick (dad) and Emma experiencing this treat in rural Quebec.

This property can be found at 9, Montée Beausoleil, Lac-des-Loups (Québec), J0X 3K0 Canada.

The cost is:

Adult $12.00
Child $8.00 (kids 5 and under are free)
Family $37.00

Here’s an excerpt from their website:

For the pleasure of all, young and old, come skate on 3 km of ice trails within 45 minutes from Gatineau-Ottawa. You will find a heated building on site to lace your skates and rest areas along the trail to enjoy the scenery, birds and squirrels. A new charming site to discover! Free for children 5 and under. Seasonal rates available.

I believe when they say, “

Seasonal rates available,” they mean that you can buy a season’s pass…

This is part of the growing “agritainment” industry whereby you boost farm income and rural income via experiential tourism…
